http://www.energyefficiencynews.comAfion Media Ltd Scotland to make all public sector vehicles low carbon by 2020 <p>Straight from enacting some of the most stringent climate change legislation, the <a href="http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Home" rel="external">Scottish Government</a> is proposing that all public sector vehicles should be low-carbon by 2020.</p> <p>The consultation document published earlier this week also proposes that 95% of all new cars sold after this date would have to meet the same stringent low-carbon standards.</p> <p>&ldquo;Government must back up its world leading climate change targets with action,&rdquo; said Climate Change Minister Stewart Stevenson.</p> <p>He added that the public sector must be seen to lead the way and &ldquo;set the standard&rdquo;.
