The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering advice to state capitals on the design and development of more sustainable neighbourhoods.
The Greening America’s Capitals programme is part of a collaborative effort, the Partnership for Sustainable Communities, between the EPA, and the Departments of Housing and Urban Development and Transportation.
Under the programme, the EPA will provide design teams to work on incorporating green building and infrastructure practices into developments.
Interested cities have been now and July 9 to submit letter of interest, before up to four state capitals are selected.
The announcement of the cities chosen for the first year of the scheme will be announced in the autumn.
